Social media influencer Fatma Soydaş, who was under investigation due to her social media posts and was arrested on charges of "insulting religious values," had been sent to prison on July 23. She has been released from Silivri Prison, where she had been held for approximately 2 months.

SHE HAD REQUESTED RELEASE

In a previous request for release, Fatma Soydaş stated that she regretted her actions, saying, "Am I regretful for what I have done? Yes... I request my release and I promise to lead a modest life from now on."

As part of the investigation launched against her, access to Soydaş's TikTok and Instagram accounts had also been blocked. The accounts were blocked from access within Turkey by the decision of the Ankara 5th Criminal Court of Peace.

With Soydaş's release, her approximately 2-month prison period has come to an end.
