In the Nizip district of Gaziantep, 69-year-old Yıldız Şahinuşağı, a mother of four, has died after being struck by a bullet fired during an argument on the street.

The incident occurred on September 18, 2026, in the Kıbrıs neighborhood of the Nizip district. According to allegations, an individual identified as E.A. fired a handgun randomly into the air while arguing with his mother on the street.

During this time, 69-year-old Yıldız Şahinuşağı, who was in her home, was critically injured when a bullet from the weapon struck her in the head. Upon notification, police and medical teams were sent to the scene.

Şahinuşağı, who was taken to Nizip State Hospital following initial intervention by medical teams, could not be saved despite approximately 45 days of treatment.
