Arsenal found in vehicle stopped on suspicion
In Çorum, police motorcycle units (yunus) seized 3 rifles, 2 pistols, 80 bullets, and 20 cartridges from a vehicle they stopped on suspicion. While 5 people were taken into custody, one person, who was identified as a prison escapee, fled the scene.
The incident occurred late at night at the Akkent TOKİ residences. The yunus police motorcycle teams, who were on patrol, stopped a pickup truck with the license plate 19 DV 752 on suspicion.
They conducted a search of the vehicle and the 5 people inside.
During the search, 3 unlicensed rifles, 2 unlicensed pistols, 80 bullets, and 20 cartridges were seized from the vehicle and the suspects.

The yunus teams confiscated the weapons and ammunition and took the 5 people in the vehicle into custody. One person, who was determined to have been in the stopped vehicle, fled the scene. It was determined that the person who fled was Ö. C. K., who had escaped from the İskilip semi-open prison. While the 5 people taken into custody were taken to the Police Department, it was reported that efforts to capture the fugitive are ongoing.
