Caught selling fake gold: Two people in custody
Two individuals alleged to have been selling fake gold in Mardin were caught and taken into custody at the hotel where they were staying. Searches conducted on the suspects and in their vehicle revealed fake jewelry and a large sum of money.
In an operation carried out in Mardin, two people alleged to have sold fake gold to jewelers were taken into custody. The suspects were caught in their hotel room, and searches of their persons and vehicle resulted in the seizure of 368 thousand 940 liras, 800 dollars, 6 grams of real gold, four gold-colored metal pieces, a white necklace with stones, and 69 gold-colored earrings.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
