Drugs found in the intestine of a foreign national suspect in Gümüşhane
A foreign national suspect caught with drugs hidden in their intestine has been taken into custody in Gümüşhane.
According to a statement from the Gümüşhane Governor's Office, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch grew suspicious of a foreign national, identified as A.G., who was traveling on a passenger bus stopped at the Akçakale checkpoint.
Following instructions from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was taken to Gümüşhane State Hospital, where an examination revealed a foreign object in their intestine.
The object, which was removed via a surgical procedure, was determined to be 124.96 grams of packaged synthetic drugs.
A.G. has been taken into custody.
