The depth of the earthquake was announced by AFAD as 7 km.
The earthquake, which was felt across the province of Hatay, caused concern among citizens. According to initial reports, there were no negative incidents reported throughout the city.
In a statement regarding the earthquake, the Hatay Governor's Office stated, "In accordance with the information received from the AFAD Earthquake Department, a 3.9-magnitude earthquake centered in Samandağ / Mediterranean-Antakya Gulf (Hatay) has occurred; according to initial assessments, there are no negative situations, and no reports have been received by the 112 Emergency Call Center. Developments are being monitored."
