Earthquake in Trabzon

According to the statement made by AFAD, a 3.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Ortahisar district of Trabzon.

In the statement, it was noted that the earthquake, which occurred at 23:15, had a depth of 14.61 km.

EARTHQUAKE STATEMENT FROM THE TRABZON GOVERNOR'S OFFICE

According to data shared by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), an earthquake occurred at 23:15 approximately 28 kilometers off the coast of Trabzon's Ortahisar district.

The 3.8-magnitude earthquake, recorded at a depth of 14.61 kilometers, was also felt in Rize, Gümüşhane, and Giresun.

Following the earthquake, the Trabzon Governor's Office issued a statement. The statement said, "The 3.8-magnitude earthquake that occurred off the Black Sea coast was also felt in our province; field scanning and inspection work has been promptly carried out by all our relevant units, primarily our Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate (AFAD). According to initial assessments, no negative reports have reached our relevant units."
