Flare lit for entertainment causes fire
In the Sapanca district of Sakarya, a fire broke out after a flare, believed to have been lit for entertainment, spread to a wooded area. Teams brought the fire under control and extinguished it before it could lead to a potential disaster.
A fire, believed to have been caused by flares used by people celebrating in the Seyir Terası area of Sakarya Street in the Göl neighborhood of Sapanca, broke out.
The fire grew in a short time and spread to the wooded area in the region, and upon notification, fire department teams, Forestry Directorate teams, and police units were dispatched to the area.
The teams that arrived at the scene brought the fire under control and extinguished it before it could lead to a potential disaster. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
