Friday warning for Istanbul from AKOM: Thunderstorms expected
According to AKOM's weekly forecast, no precipitation is expected in Istanbul until Friday; however, thunderstorms are predicted for Friday.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has released its weekly weather forecast report for the city. According to the report, no precipitation is expected in Istanbul until Friday, and the sky is expected to be mostly sunny.
AKOM reported that winds, which are expected to blow strongly at intervals from the north, will bring cool air to the region. For this reason, it is anticipated that extreme temperature rises will be prevented, and air temperatures across the city are expected to hover between 28-30 degrees.
According to the weekly forecast, thunderstorms are expected in Istanbul on Friday. While rainy weather stands out for Friday in the table shared by AKOM, it is estimated that partly cloudy and clear weather will be effective in the city again over the weekend.
It is recommended to follow the current warnings of the authorities regarding weather conditions, and citizens who will be outside, especially on Friday, are advised to be cautious against sudden downpours.
