Governor's Office announces: Swimming banned in one province
Swimming has been banned in Giresun today and tomorrow due to adverse weather conditions.
According to a written statement from the Giresun Governor's Office, the Provincial Public Health Board met at the Governor's office under the chairmanship of Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti.
During the meeting, the adverse weather conditions expected to begin in the city today and continue until the end of Sunday were evaluated, and it was decided to ban swimming along the entire Giresun coastline until Monday, July 8, for the safety of citizens.
Meanwhile, a written statement from the Trabzon Governor's Office indicated that, according to data from the 11th Regional Directorate of Meteorology, wind speeds are expected to reach 20-25 nautical miles and wave heights are expected to reach 1.5 meters today and tomorrow.
The statement emphasized that, in order to prevent drowning incidents, it is important for the safety of citizens not to enter the sea throughout Trabzon during the specified time interval.
