He beat his father who came home drunk and sent the footage to his uncle

In an incident that took place last Wednesday in the Selçuklu district of Konya, a man named Yakup Ü. beat his father, Selahattin Ü., who allegedly returned home drunk, and recorded these moments with his mobile phone camera.

He then sent the recorded video to his uncle, Bayram Ü., who lives in Kocaeli.

In the video in question, Yakup Ü. is seen beating his father, who is lying on the ground, while saying, "Look, I'm beating my father, oh. Be proud of your nephew. This brother of yours will die by my hands." Following the release of the footage on social media, which drew widespread backlash, police teams intervened in the matter.

Yakup Ü. was detained by the Konya Police Department and subsequently referred to the courthouse. Brought before the court, Yakup Ü. was arrested and sent to prison.

On the other hand, it was learned that the assaulted Selahattin Ü. had frequently come home under the influence of alcohol, had repeatedly committed violence against his wife, Ü.Ü., and had been subject to numerous legal proceedings. It was stated that he holds a 53 percent disability report due to a lung condition.
