He strangled his wife to death and then committed suicide

The incident occurred yesterday evening on the second floor of a 4-story building on Gazi Osman Paşa Street in the Yaylacık neighborhood.

51-year-old İbrahim Köçer strangled his 45-year-old wife, Nurtaç Köçer, the mother of their 3 children—2 daughters and 1 son—for reasons yet to be determined.

HE COMMITTED SUICIDE BY HANGING HIMSELF

İbrahim Köçer then went out to the balcony of his home and committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope.

Upon the notification of neighbors who heard the noise, police and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the address. Upon arriving at the apartment, the medical teams determined that the couple had lost their lives.

Meanwhile, after the investigations by the crime scene investigation teams and the prosecutor, the couple's bodies were taken to the morgue of the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute. It was learned that the couple's children were not at home at the time of the incident.
