Heavy rainfall in Hatay following orange alert from Meteorology
A sudden downpour in the Antakya district of Hatay, which was placed under an orange alert, has negatively affected daily life.
Following warnings issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, rainy weather began to take effect in Hatay starting from the morning hours on Friday.
The rainfall, which was effective in different parts of the districts, made itself felt in the Antakya district during the evening hours.
Drivers experienced difficult moments due to the torrential rain.
It was learned that the rainy weather, which overwhelmed windshield wipers, will continue to be felt throughout the day on Sunday. The Hatay Governor's Office also issued a strong rainfall warning in a post on its social media accounts.
