Jeweler flees abroad with 100 kilograms of entrusted gold
Allegations that a person who had reportedly been working as a jeweler for many years in the Çivril district of Denizli disappeared with jewelry entrusted to him by customers have caused a major stir in the district. It has been learned that the jeweler fled abroad with approximately 100 kilograms of gold and that a red notice has been issued for him.
According to the allegations, S.Ç., who has been working as a jeweler in Çivril for about 30 years, disappeared along with gold that was kept at his workplace and entrusted to him by customers.
After the workplace did not open since Friday and he could not be reached, numerous citizens reported the situation to police teams.
Taking action upon the complaints, police teams conducted an investigation at the workplace. It was learned that approximately 25 kilograms of gold found at the workplace were taken into protective custody.
On the other hand, it was learned that the suspect jeweler fled abroad with approximately 100 kilograms of gold and that a red notice has been issued for him.
While it is understood that the victimized citizens are preparing to initiate legal action, the investigation launched into the incident is ongoing.
