Suspect who killed 5 people in Gaziantep commits suicide
In the Vatan neighborhood of the Şahinbey district, a suspect named Mustafa Hıdır shot and killed a customer at a barbershop for reasons yet to be determined.
Upon reports from bystanders, 112 Emergency health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Suspect Hıdır later entered a house in the Üçoklar neighborhood and killed 4 more people whose names have not yet been learned. Hıdır, who fled the scene, committed suicide with a firearm in the Barak neighborhood when he realized he was about to be caught.
Following the investigation at the scene, the bodies were taken to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.
Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
