A partial collapse occurred in an abandoned building in the Fatih district following the earthquake. The structure, located on Aynalı Dükkan Street in the Ayvansaray neighborhood, which had previously been damaged by fire and was no longer in use, partially collapsed during the tremors.
Upon notification of the situation, police, fire department, and Fatih Municipality Search and Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. A security cordon was set up at the entrance of the street for safety purposes. Inspections confirmed that there was no one inside the building.
Additional teams have been sent to the area to complete the demolition of the partially collapsed structure.
