WHO IS BENNU GEREDE?

Bennu Gerede was born on August 30, 1971, in Istanbul. She is the daughter of a doctor father and a screenwriter mother. Gerede's grandfather was Hüsrev Gerede, a veteran of the War of Independence, an aide to Atatürk, and a former ambassador and colonel. Gerede, who moved to New York with her family as a baby, completed her undergraduate education in photography at the Parsons School of Art. Upon returning to Istanbul, she worked as a model, photo model, and actress. She continued her photography education in France. Gerede has held photography exhibitions in various parts of the world and published a photography book titled "Bennu Yüz 25" in 2015.
