Who poured the concrete on whom?
Did these 'concrete-pourers' who wanted to bury the CHP in concrete really want to build an effective opposition? Or was their only concern to expand their own spheres of power and strengthen their personal ambitions with concrete? Political Scientist Çetin Sağsöz writes...
Concrete for the grandchildren of Sülün Osman!
“They want to bury me in concrete...”
This sentence was the most striking part of the article Ekrem İmamoğlu penned after his critical meeting with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
But today, what everyone reading this sentence should really ask is this:
Who really poured the concrete on whom?
Did these 'concrete-pourers' who wanted to bury the CHP in concrete really want to build an effective opposition?
Or was their only concern to expand their own spheres of power and strengthen their personal ambitions with concrete?
For months, they said, “We are first in the polls!”
They engaged in a hollow, defensive opposition by saying, “They locked up our presidential candidate who received 15.5 million votes!”
So, what happened in the end?
Did those who disregarded the Table of Six become prisoners of a desire to build only a lonely opposition?
Today, those who say “We won't brew with DEM” are trying to determine the country's fate by uniting with HÜDA PAR like a cup of illicit tea, bringing together four incompatible elements.
The truth is this:
The party congress process carried out under the name of “change” in the CHP was shaped by a form of intervention unprecedented in Turkish political history.
That hall was not the stage of a political party; it was the stage of a political operation.
The process, which began months in advance with Zoom meetings, was a planned purge managed by mayors and a media-supported PR machine.
And this purge did not happen through democratic means; it happened with money.
The will of the delegates was ignored.
It was directed, it was bought.
The allegations are clear: Millions of liras were distributed to delegates as a “persuasion premium.”
In other words, the seat changed hands not through ideas, but through money.
Those who managed this process intervened not from the outside, but from the inside:
With office, with power, with media influence.
It was not İmamoğlu, who said “They want to bury me in concrete,” but others who were actually buried in concrete.
What was buried:
The reputation of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
Its moral compass.
Its institutional memory.
Those who managed the operation only changed the seat under the mask of change.
But the method remained the same:
Deceit, money, power, and media manipulation.
So, where in Turkey is this considered ethical?
If politics has become this dirty, who are the actors of this filth?
Who is the founder, the practitioner, and the protector of this system?
The answer is clear:
Ekrem İmamoğlu and the power bloc around him.
This bloc carried out a purge process under the name of change.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was not just a target; he was the last obstacle in front of this operation.
The obstacle was removed.
And now?
Every day, a new CHP mayor is being detained.
News of corruption is coming one after another.
The CHP is distancing itself from the public, and the public from the CHP.
Because not just a leader, but the party's moral foundation has been lost.
In that case, let us ask once more and more courageously:
> Who poured the concrete on whom?
Those who mobilized millions to topple their own leader...
Those who designed the will of the delegates with money...
Those who look for help not from the public, but from PR agencies...
Today, it is not just Kılıçdaroğlu who is buried in concrete;
It is the hope of the people, the conscience of the party, and the honor of politics.
And remember:
The surface of the concrete is covered, but the truth lying beneath it never rots.
One day, that concrete will crack...
The truth will sprout again.
