AKP provincial chair resigns
AKP Afyonkarahisar Provincial Chair Turgay Şahin has announced his resignation. Şahin stated that he decided to step down from his position as provincial chair following consultations with the AKP Headquarters.
AKP Afyonkarahisar Provincial Chair Atty. Turgay Şahin stated in his announcement, "As a result of the consultations we held with our AK Party Headquarters, I have decided to step down from my duty as the Afyonkarahisar Provincial Chair."
Reminding that he was entrusted with the provincial chairmanship two years ago, Şahin said that he carried the duty of being the political representative of President and AKP Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the province with pride for two years.
In his statement, Şahin thanked President Erdoğan and said, "It was an honor to engage in politics behind him. From now on, his cause is my cause, and his path is my path."
Stating that his loyalty to the AKP will continue, Şahin said, "My love for the AK Party is always in my heart. I will continue to serve my cause and my passion in different capacities."
