AKP spokesperson gives date for 'New Constitution' efforts
AKP spokesperson Ömer Çelik announced that they will begin work on a new constitution after the holiday.
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made important statements regarding preparations for a new constitution.
Çelik said, "We will hold our first meeting regarding the New Constitution after the holiday. This issue will be one of our party's priority agenda items."
Ömer Çelik also touched upon developments regarding the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), stating that Republic of Türkiye officials have not held any meetings with the SDF. Çelik stated, "The name of the process is for the PKK to dissolve itself and surrender its weapons. This must be carried out with all illegal structures and their extensions. Taking past experiences into account, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) have monitoring mechanisms ready for the laying down of arms."
Additionally, Çelik provided information about the holiday greeting programs. Following the CHP's announcement that it would not hold holiday greetings with any party this year, he stated that the AKP would also not hold holiday greetings with the CHP.
