Critical warning from İmamoğlu after KKM! 'The wealth transfer system continues'
Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted sharply to the government, stating that despite the end of the Currency-Protected Deposit (KKM) system, the wealth transfer mechanism remains in place.
Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP's presidential candidate and Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, who has been detained in Silivri Prison since March 23, issued a statement following the termination of the Currency-Protected Deposit (KKM) scheme. İmamoğlu emphasized that the wealth transfer system continues even after the removal of KKM.
Stressing that the wealth transfer system persists following the end of KKM, İmamoğlu stated, "When we come to power, we will put an end to this wealth transfer system that causes great harm to our nation. We will change this situation by producing, earning, and sharing fairly."
The full text of İmamoğlu's statement is as follows:
'The Currency-Protected Deposit scheme, "invented" by those who condemned our nation to high interest rates, inflation, and foreign currency through an ignorant economic policy, has come to an end.
However, the wealth transfer system that takes from our nation's pockets to enrich a handful of people continues.
When we come to power, our first act will be to end this wealth transfer system, which has caused damage to our nation of terrifying proportions.
We will work, we will produce, we will earn, and we will share fairly.
WHILE TURKEY GROWS, THE NATION'S BREAD WILL NOT SHRINK!'
