Standing up with a microphone in his hand, Babaoğlan Altun used a vulgar profanity directed at the gendarmerie commander during his remarks.
While those attending the meeting warned him by saying, 'We are live,' Altun replied, 'He deserved it.'
Following Altun's scandalous remarks, the AKP Niğde Provincial Presidency launched a disciplinary investigation. In a statement issued by the Provincial Presidency, it was stated, 'Due to the remarks made by our AK Party Hacıabdullah Town Mayoral Candidate B.A. during an association meeting in Istanbul, a disciplinary investigation was launched on 23.02.2024, and the process for his permanent expulsion from our party has been initiated.'
