Following Altun's scandalous remarks, the AKP Niğde Provincial Presidency launched a disciplinary investigation. In a statement issued by the Provincial Presidency, it was stated, 'Due to the remarks made by our AK Party Hacıabdullah Town Mayoral Candidate B.A. during an association meeting in Istanbul, a disciplinary investigation was launched on 23.02.2024, and the process for his permanent expulsion from our party has been initiated.'
