Decision to renew elections in Ürgüp: Reaction from the CHP candidate!

It has been stated that the Nevşehir Provincial Election Board has decided to renew the election in Ürgüp, which was won by the CHP candidate.

CHP candidate Ali Ertuğrul Bul noted that they would take the decision to the YSK.

"OUR PARTY WILL IMMEDIATELY TAKE THE DECISION TO THE YSK"

Ali Ertuğrul Bul announced the decision in a statement on his social media account as follows:

"My dear fellow citizens of Ürgüp, I have just received the decision of the Nevşehir Provincial Election Board. It is reported that it has been decided to cancel and renew the elections for the Ürgüp District Mayoralty, Ürgüp District Municipal Council membership, and Provincial General Assembly membership, and that the new election will be held on 02.06.2024. A single ballot box, which was recounted and recorded on the first night by the District Election Board, has been cited as the reason for this decision. Our party will immediately take this decision to the Supreme Election Council. If the YSK also decides to renew the election and the election is held again, I believe that we, as all the people of Ürgüp, will carry out a repeat of the 2019 Istanbul municipal election and increase the margin in a way that cannot be contested. I believe in you and in the bright future of Ürgüp. Once again, Ürgüp again."
