DEM Party Ceylanpınar Co-Mayor Rahşan Yazar resigns

Rahşan Yazar, who was elected Co-Mayor of Ceylanpınar Municipality from the DEM Party, has announced her resignation.

Noting in a statement on social media that unexpected problems related to her health had emerged, Yazar stated, "It should be known that I had to leave my Co-Mayoral position at the municipality only because I would not be able to fulfill it properly, but my path is always the same as my party's path."

Using the phrase "my path is always the same as my party's path," Yazar said, "Life can change a person's life in even a second, turning all plans and the current order upside down, forcing one to make completely different decisions even when one does not want to. You set out on a path, you strive and struggle for a purpose. However, you suddenly find that something happens, and unfortunately, you are forced to 'take a break' from that path. I, too, am currently facing an unexpected situation in my own life."

'MY PATH IS ALWAYS THE SAME AS MY PARTY'S PATH'

In the continuation of her statement, Yazar noted the following:

"Because of the reason that life has forced me to make a decision I did not want to make; I am forced to leave my Ceylanpınar Co-Mayoral position with great sadness due to the emergence of unexpected problems related to my health.

I truly cannot continue my duty with great sadness. It should be known that I had to leave my Co-Mayoral position at the municipality only because I would not be able to fulfill it properly, but my path is always the same as my party's path."
