DEM Party executives to visit Demirtaş
It has been announced that DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan will visit former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who was sentenced to 42 years in prison in the Kobani Case, at the Edirne F-Type Prison tomorrow.
According to a written statement from the DEM Party, a delegation including the Co-Chairs will visit Selahattin Demirtaş at the Edirne F-Type Prison.
Following the visit, the DEM Party Co-Chairs will hold a press conference in front of the Edirne F-Type Prison with the participation of the DEM Party's Tekirdağ provincial organization and the Labor and Democracy Forces.
The statement included the following: "Our Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan will visit former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is being held hostage at the Edirne Prison and was unlawfully sentenced in the Kobani Conspiracy Case, on Monday, May 20."
HE HAD BEEN SENTENCED TO 42 YEARS IN PRISON
In the final hearing of the Kobani Case held on May 17, a total of 42 years in prison was handed down to Demirtaş, while release decisions were issued for 5 politicians who were detained as part of the case. A total of over 400 years in prison was given to the 36 people tried within the scope of the case.
