Dilek İmamoğlu's message: 'Justice will be needed by everyone one day': 'These slanders will not stick to us'

An arrest warrant has been issued for Ekrem İmamoğlu, Merdan Yanardağ, and Necati Özkan as part of an "espionage" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu reacted to the arrest warrant issued for her husband.

In a statement on her X account, Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu said, "These slanders will not stick to us because the sun cannot be plastered over with mud," and delivered the message, "Justice will be needed by everyone one day."

Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu's statement is as follows:

"In the face of this legal absurdity that reason, logic, and conscience cannot accept; I invite all citizens who love their country, bar associations, lawyers, political parties, and statesmen to take responsibility and to stand up for justice and democracy against this lawlessness.

It should be known that in the face of this decision, which is clearly not based on law in the courthouse corridors; these slanders will not stick to us because the sun cannot be plastered over with mud.

This evil has not been done to us, but to 86 million people and the future of this country.

Justice will be needed by everyone one day."
