President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has congratulated Donald Trump, who has been elected US President for the second time according to unofficial results.

'MY FRIEND TRUMP'

Erdoğan stated the following in his message:

"I congratulate my friend Donald Trump, who has been re-elected as the President of the United States after a hard-fought victory in the presidential election held in the United States.

In this new era that will begin with the choice of the American people, I hope for the strengthening of Turkey-US relations and for an end to regional and global crises and wars, primarily the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war; I believe that more effort will be exerted for a more just world.

I wish for the elections to be auspicious for the friendly and allied American people and for all of humanity."
