İmamoğlu's indictment leaked to pro-government media!

A new stage has been reached in the investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Yeni Şafak, the preparation process for the case file, which includes presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, has been completed.

According to information provided by the newspaper, the indictment, consisting of approximately 4,000 pages, was prepared by eight prosecutors. It was stated that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor, one deputy chief prosecutor, and six investigative prosecutors participated in the preparation process.

“THE INDICTMENT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE COURT IN THE COMING DAYS”

In its report, Yeni Şafak stated that final checks of the indictment are ongoing and that it will be sent to the court following final approval. The report claims that the indictment is expected to be submitted to the court in the coming days.

İMAMOĞLU LISTED AS “NUMBER 1” IN THE FILE

It is alleged that Ekrem İmamoğlu is designated as "number 1" in the indictment in question. It was reported that the number of suspects in the file exceeds 400.

The report also claims that many individuals from İmamoğlu's inner circle are included in the indictment.

Among these names are İBB Spokesperson and Medya AŞ Chairman of the Board Murat Ongun, İBB Sports Club President Fatih Keleş, Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, İBB Subsidiaries Commission Chairman Ertan Yıldız, and İmamoğlu's lawyer Mehmet Pehlivan.

THE PROCESS BEGAN ON MARCH 19

The investigation was launched on March 19, and many individuals, including İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, were arrested as part of this scope. According to Yeni Şafak's claim, the prosecutor's office has completed its preparatory work following this process.

The report further stated that once the indictment is completed, the case will be heard if it is accepted by the court.

According to Yeni Şafak's report, the final reading and evaluation phase of the indictment is ongoing. It was stated that the file will be sent to the court after final approval is granted.
