İYİ Party reacts sharply to Sözcü TV after being left out of election poll! 'Should we boycott them too?'

A detail in an election poll broadcast on Sözcü TV did not go unnoticed. The IYI Party was missing from the graph showing the parties' vote shares in the poll results. This situation drew a reaction from IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.

'BOYCOTT' OUTBURST

Expressing his reaction in a post on social media, Dervişoğlu pointed to Sözcü TV and lashed out, saying, "Should we boycott them too!"

"WHERE IS THE 7 PERCENT VOTE?"

In his post, Dervişoğlu stated the following:

"SÖZCÜ Television is sharing the results of a public opinion research company's poll on its screens. You must have noticed it too; the IYI Party is not in the table. When you add up the percentages, you reach the number 93. I cannot help but ask because it is on my mind: Where is the 7 percent vote? Or what does SÖZCÜ want to do? Should we boycott them too!.."

SÖZCÜ TV APOLOGIZED

Sözcü TV apologized to Dervişoğlu and IYI Party members for the situation. In the response given to Dervişoğlu's post, it was stated, "A graphical error was made while the results of a polling firm were being reflected on the screen today. We apologize to IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu and the entire IYI Party family."

RESPONSE FROM FATİH PORTAKAL: "YOU CALL AND ASK 'WHAT IS THIS'"

A response to Dervişoğlu also came from journalist Fatih Portakal. Addressing the incident on the Sözcü TV main news bulletin, Portakal said:

"There was a mistake, Mr. Müsavat. We are not reactive or distant toward anyone. There is no such thing as let's remove their name; this is a mistake. You call, you ask: 'Hey friends, there is something like this, what is it?' It is a material error, meaning an error that can be corrected.
