A public opinion survey commissioned by the AKP and brought to the agenda of party officials in April has revealed striking results.

According to the report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim, the public opinion survey covered many topics, including the judicial process against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, the impact of the CHP's boycott calls, and trust in economic management.

Participants' views on the investigation launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu varied.

The rate of those who said, "I do not think there was corruption," was 36.7%, while the rate of those who said, "corruption has occurred," was recorded at 28.5%.

Those who said, "we need to see the outcome of the case," were at 25.6%, while those who did not express an opinion on this matter remained at 9.2%.

AKP voters: 60.1% "there is corruption," 9.7% "there is not"

CHP voters: 78.3% "there is not," 6.2% "there is"

HOW WERE THE BOYCOTT CALLS RECEIVED?

The CHP's recent boycott calls were also asked to voters in the poll. 62.2% of the participants stated that they supported the boycott, while 37.8% stated that they were against it. This result showed that the calls from opposition parties found a response among a certain base.

Trust in economic management was also measured in the poll. Only 3% of the participants said, "I trust it very much," and 22% said, "I trust it."

In contrast, 36% said, "I do not trust it," 26.1% said, "I do not trust it at all," and 12.9% expressed that they were undecided.

Compared to March data, it was determined that trust in economic management increased, albeit limitedly, in April.

In the poll, participants were also asked about the possible impact of the 10% additional import tax that the US will impose on Turkey on the Turkish economy.

The results were as follows:

33.6%: "It will have no effect on inflation"

29.9%: "It will increase inflation somewhat"

19.7%: "There will be a serious increase in inflation"

12.5%: "It will lower inflation"

4.3%: "It will lower it a lot"
