President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a striking statement while answering journalists' questions upon his return from a visit to Azerbaijan. Erdoğan had stated, "Currently, the AK Party is the leading party in Turkey." However, the polls shared with the public following this statement have contradicted Erdoğan.
CHP MAINTAINS ITS LEAD
According to the latest public opinion poll conducted by Özdemir Araştırma in July 2025, the CHP continues to be Turkey's strongest party with 32.9 percent of the vote. In the study, the AKP's vote share remained at the 31.1 percent level. Thus, the gap between the CHP and the AKP has risen to 1.8 points.
MHP AND DEM PARTY COMPETE
The vote shares of the MHP and the DEM Party in the poll are as follows:
DEM Party vote: 10.0%
MHP vote: 9.6%
These two parties are followed by the İYİ Party, the Zafer Party, and other parties.
VOTE SHARES OF OTHER PARTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
İYİ Party: 5.3%
Zafer Party (ZP): 3.5%
Anahtar Party: 3.3%
Yeniden Refah Party (YRP): 2.8%
