On the occasion of the holiday, İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu visited the home of the mother and father of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP's presidential candidate and Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, who is currently imprisoned. Meeting with the family, Dervişoğlu celebrated the holiday with Hava and Hasan İmamoğlu.
During the visit, Dervişoğlu pointed out that due to the imprisonment, the family is spending another holiday away from their son. Recalling that he also met with the İmamoğlu family during last year's Ramadan Bayram, Dervişoğlu expressed his feelings with these words: “I want it to be known how heartbreaking it is for people to spend holidays away from their children on such days. The reason I am here is to show that the İmamoğlu family is not alone. I hope we will all be together for the next holiday.”
