İYİ Party leader Dervişoğlu responds to claims of 'meeting with Erdoğan'
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu has categorically denied claims of a telephone conversation between himself and AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It had been alleged that a telephone conversation lasting approximately 30 minutes took place between İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu and AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. These claims suggested that Erdoğan thanked Dervişoğlu for staying away from the main opposition's agenda, and that Dervişoğlu stated he "could take responsibility for the stability of the country."
Furthermore, it was claimed that a mutual desire for continued communication between the two figures had emerged within the scope of these allegations.
Speaking to Nefes Gazetesi, Dervişoğlu stated that the phone call in question had no basis in reality, using the expression, "The claims that I spoke with President Erdoğan on the phone are nothing but lies."
