Kaan Ketenci, captured in TRNC, arrested in Istanbul
Advertising agency owner Kaan Ketenci, who had an outstanding arrest warrant issued against him as part of a corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), was brought to Istanbul after being detained in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He was arrested at the courthouse after being referred there following police processing.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch had determined that advertising agency owner Kaan Ketenci, for whom a detention warrant had been issued as part of the investigation, was in the TRNC.
Ketenci was detained through the joint efforts of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department liaison officer in the TRNC and the Cyprus Police Organization, and was subsequently brought to Istanbul.
ARRESTED
Ketenci, who was referred to judicial authorities following his processing at the police station, was arrested and sent to prison.
