Sırrı Sakık visits President Erdoğan
DEM Party Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık announced that he met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Sakık stated that during the meeting, he brought up expectations regarding peace, democracy, justice, and the resolution process, and also conveyed his proposals concerning the fundamental issues of Ağrı and the region to President Erdoğan.
DEM Party Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık stated that he visited President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and said, "I hope that this meeting will contribute to the resolution of problems and the strengthening of peace in our country, and I thank him."
DEM Party's Sırrı Sakık noted the following in a statement on his social media account:
"In our meeting, I conveyed to him our people's expectations regarding peace, democracy, and justice, as well as their demands and hopes for the 'Democratic Society and Peace' process to progress with concrete steps. I expressed that this historical process should be evaluated far above daily politics, and that the removal of bloodshed, tears, and conflict from Turkey's agenda is the common desire of society.
Furthermore, I brought up fundamental issues such as poverty, problems in accessing healthcare services, unemployment, and migration, both in our region—especially in Ağrı—and in our country, and shared our proposals for solutions. I hope that this meeting will contribute to the resolution of problems and the strengthening of peace in our country, and I thank him."
