The statement noted that a delegation consisting of DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, along with Group Deputy Chairs Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit and Sezai Temelli, visited the CHP and the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) today, stating, "The meetings, where ideas were exchanged on current issues, were quite productive.
In both visits, Turkey's democratic future, the recent meeting held between our party delegation and Abdullah Öcalan, and the PKK's congress decisions announced on May 12 were evaluated.
Furthermore, the strengthening of dialogue between political parties and the steps to be taken for peace and resolution under the roof of the TBMM were discussed.
In this context, it was shared that the establishment of a fully authorized commission in the TBMM and the adoption of a method that ensures the effective participation of political parties in this process are important.
Our political consultations will continue with a visit to the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) on Friday, May 23, 2025. We plan to continue our meetings with all political parties on the axis of democratic consensus," the statement read.
