Statement from Veli Ağbaba on Lütfü Savaş! Will his candidacy be withdrawn?

CHP Malatya Deputy Veli Ağbaba appeared as a guest on İsmail Küçükkaya's live broadcast on Halk TV and made statements.

According to the report in Duvar, Ağbaba responded to Küçükkaya's question, "Why did the CHP's authorized bodies nominate Lütfü Savaş?" as follows:

"Our Chairman said from the very beginning, 'I will look at the polls, I will look at what the citizens say.' Lütfü Savaş came out ahead in all of the polls. If our Chairman had not nominated Savaş, it would have been said that he was 'settling scores due to the party congress.' There was an effort to stay away from that as well. It is being discussed by the public, and the party will make a decision regarding this. It is something under the authority of our headquarters. It is a point that needs to be evaluated from our perspective as well. There is no point in blaming Savaş for everything, but everyone needs to take their share of responsibility from this."
