Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır, who was expelled from the İYİ Party, has made highly controversial claims regarding İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener. Stating that "the real head of political affairs in the İYİ Party is Akşener's husband," Dikbayır added, "The head of media propaganda is her son. The real secretary-general is her chief of staff."
Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır, who was expelled during a period of successive resignations within the İYİ Party, was a guest on the program Taksim Meydanı with Gürkan Hacır on tv100.
Making statements regarding the current agenda, Dikbayır criticized Meral Akşener, who decided to hold a party congress after March 31 and announced she would not be a candidate.
"Meral Akşener has made the right decision. I had already said before that Meral Akşener needed to receive a vote of confidence." said Dikbayır, adding, "In this party, the real head of political affairs is Meral Akşener's husband.
