Supreme Election Council's decision on Ordu
The YSK has rejected the İYİ Party's request for the cancellation and rerun of the elections in Ordu.
In the local elections held in Ordu, it was recorded that AKP candidate Hilmi Güler came in first with 40.06 percent of the vote, while İYİ Party candidate Enver Yılmaz came in second with 36.52 percent.
The İYİ Party alleged that despite 486 thousand 265 people casting votes in Ordu, there was a higher number of invalid votes than the national average, that double stamps were detected on some invalid ballots and these ballots were cast in favor of the İYİ Party, and that there was a shortage of envelopes and ballots at many ballot boxes.
Following these allegations, the İYİ Party filed an application with the Supreme Election Council (YSK) for the elections to be renewed.
The YSK announced its decision regarding Ordu and rejected the İYİ Party's request for the renewal of the elections.
