The march initiated by Erkan Baş for the release of MP Can Atalay continues

The Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) continues its "Freedom March," which was launched for Hatay MP Can Atalay, whose prison sentence in the Gezi Park trial was upheld by the Court of Cassation.

"We are marching to prevent the violation of our friend's rights. I have a stubborn and rebellious nature," said TİP Chairman Erkan Baş, adding, "Our struggle to prevent this violation of rights will continue until the end."

The 11th day of the Freedom March will begin in the village of Eskişehir in the Tarsus district of Mersin and will continue toward Korlu Beyi, Taşobası, Damlama, and Çamalan. Today, Erkan Baş is being accompanied by CHP MP Orhan Sarıbal and former CHP Istanbul MP Ali Şeker.
