The process that began with Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu resigning from the CHP in August 2025 and joining the ranks of the AKP saw the mask of "love for service" fall quickly. While the price of switching political sides increased the burden on the public, the reward was the "privileged" status granted to the Jantsa company, which belongs to the Çerçioğlu family.

Despite failing to meet the necessary criteria for years, the company was declared a "reliable partner of the state" immediately after the political transfer, despite its 268 million TL loss in 2025 and the government's austerity policies.

A Favor in VAT Refunds: While normal companies must provide 100% collateral, Jantsa will be able to put millions into its coffers with only 4% collateral.

Low-Interest Faucets: Despite operating at a loss, Eximbank loans will be placed at the company's disposal.

VIP Passage at Customs: It will move rapidly through customs without encountering any obstacles, with "state approval."

PRIVATE PROFITS, PUBLIC LOSSES

While workers at the Jantsa factory are being crushed under inflation and low wage increases, champagne is being popped in the executive suites. These privileges, presented by the government under the guise of "export support," are in reality nothing more than the rewarding of political loyalty with public resources.
