During the session held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on October 14, 2025, IYI Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez directed harsh criticisms toward Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Pervin Buldan.
TENSION ESCALATED
Çömez targeted Buldan with the words, "You have no responsibility to carry the messages of a vile terrorist, the murderer of 50 thousand people, to Turkey."
Responding to these remarks, Buldan expressed her reaction by saying, "I reject these words of yours. I will never accept disrespect toward a person." She further stated, "If I am doing a job, I am doing it for the future of this country, I am doing it for peace."
As the argument continued for some time, Buldan adjourned the session and invited the group deputy chairmen of the parties to a meeting.
