Ümit Özdağ announces: Famous economist becomes Zafer Party's Ankara candidate!

As the local elections approach, political parties continue to announce their mayoral candidates.

The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate for the Zafer Party, which has decided not to field candidates only in Kars and Iğdır for the local elections, has been determined.

Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ announced on Sözcü TV that the party's Ankara candidate will be Bartu Soral.

Özdağ stated the following;

"Our candidate in Ankara is economist Bartu Soral. He had previously served in our party. He later left. But our cooperation has continued for a long time. We will announce Mr. Bartu's candidacy in front of the First Parliament on Monday. From there, we will go to Anıtkabir."

In response to İpek Özbey's question, 'What does Bartu Soral represent?', Özdağ gave the following answer;

"Bartu Soral represents the founding principles of the Republic in politics. He represents Turkish nationalism on the path of Atatürk. In the economy, he represents sustainable planned development and a production economy, which is our party's fundamental line. He represents public-oriented municipalism against rent-seeking and contractor-led municipalism."
