DİSK delegation tours city by city: Justice in income and taxes
Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK) President Arzu Çerkezoğlu stated that they are demanding justice in income and taxes.
DİSK President Arzu Çerkezoğlu, in a press statement held at Cacabey Square, said that in a period of high inflation and declining purchasing power, they are fighting as DİSK for justice in income and taxes and for a humane life.
DİSK DELEGATION TOURS CITY BY CITY
Emphasizing that they are holding worker meetings in different cities, Çerkezoğlu spoke as follows:
"The DİSK Executive Board will be in squares and public spaces all across Turkey throughout December. We started this struggle in Edirne yesterday, and today we are in Kırşehir. We will continue in Mersin, Antalya, and Adana. During the 'justice in income' and 'justice in taxes' march we held from Istanbul to Ankara last month, we saw firsthand that these demands are the demands of millions. Ultimately, we continued this process with a large rally in Ankara."
CHP ALSO PARTICIPATED
Stating that they want justice in income and taxes, Çerkezoğlu argued that as the Republic enters its second century, the share received from the value produced has declined to 26 percent.
Kırşehir Mayor Selahattin Ekicioğlu, CHP Kırşehir Provincial Chair İsa Şahin, and union members attended the press statement.
