Amazon satellites to be produced in Sivas!
Amazon has chosen Sivas for satellite production. Within this scope, a local brand will supply the company's critical components.
Tezmaksan aims to make Turkey a strong player in the space industry through its collaboration with Amazon. Under this agreement, Amazon will shift its satellite component production from the US and Mexico to Sivas.
SATELLITE PRODUCTION FOR AMAZON PROJECT SHIFTS TO TURKEY
According to Türkiye Gazetesi, in the production phase of the parts required for the project consisting of 1,300 compact satellites, it is initially planned for 9 parts to be produced in Turkey. In the future, the goal is to transition to producing all parts in Turkey.

Commenting on the matter, Tezmaksan CEO Hakan Aydoğdu stated that the goal is not just to perform contract manufacturing, but also to bring space technology knowledge to Turkey, and that Amazon has embraced this vision as well. The company aims to increase its production capacity by establishing a new 18,000-square-meter factory in Sivas and to design special machines that are not currently produced in Turkey.
