Attention Shorts viewers: YouTube is changing the location of that button
YouTube is moving the dislike button to a new menu to manage user feedback more effectively on Shorts videos.
YouTube is working on a significant change to improve the user experience on Shorts videos. The dislike button is being removed from the main screen and moved to the three-dot menu in the top right corner. This change aims to better analyze user content preferences and adjust Shorts recommendations more accurately.
Previously, users could use the dislike button or the "Not interested" option to indicate they did not like a Shorts video. However, YouTube noticed that these two options were often used for the same purpose and decided to combine both functions into a single dislike option.
Although some users might think the dislike button has been removed entirely, YouTube stated that this is just a change in location. According to information on the company's support page, this change is currently being tested with a limited number of users and may be rolled out to a wider audience based on user feedback.
