According to an Ampere Analysis report, the 26-minute video, which was broadcast on the platform on August 27, gained Netflix more than 100,000 new subscribers.
The fact that the GTA 6 trailer was first released on Netflix had sparked debate within the gaming community following the announcement. However, the clip reaching millions of viewers revealed that this choice created strong user activity for the platform.
The report stated that the GTA 6 premiere was the third most successful piece of content in terms of gaining new subscribers for Netflix in a single day. It was also reported that approximately 5 percent of users in the US who were Netflix subscribers but had not used the app in recent months logged back into the platform for this premiere.
The premiere was later released on Rockstar Games' official channels as well. The video on the company's YouTube account reached over 26 million views in approximately two weeks.
