Trump's tariffs have an impact: Microsoft overtakes Apple to reach the top

The 104 percent customs tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on products imported from China have had a major impact on the technology sector. This situation has particularly negatively affected Apple, which carries out a large portion of its production in China.

Apple's market value fell to 2.59 trillion dollars, reaching its lowest level in the last 11 months. In contrast, thanks to its investments in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, Microsoft surpassed Apple with a market value of 2.668 trillion dollars, earning the title of the world's most valuable company.

Nvidia is drawing attention with its leadership in artificial intelligence and graphics processors. While the company's market value has reached 2.5 trillion dollars, Alphabet and Amazon are also feeling the effects of the tariffs. Alphabet ranks fifth with a market value of 1.774 trillion dollars, while Amazon is in sixth place with 1.6 trillion dollars.

Although Apple plans to produce in alternative regions to reduce its production dependence on China, it is noted that this transition could increase costs. Microsoft, on the other hand, continues to attract investor interest with its diversified revenue sources and resilience against global economic fluctuations. Nvidia's moves in data centers and the automotive sector also support the increase in its market value.

In this period where competition in the technology world is heating up, companies are trying to maintain their positions with innovative steps. Analysts predict that this competition could further shift the balance in the sector in the long term.
