The search for a new head coach has gained momentum at Fenerbahçe following the parting of ways with İsmail Kartal. It is reported that Vincenzo Montella and Abdullah Avcı are among the first names the yellow-navy management has contacted.
According to a report on NTV Spor, Vincenzo Montella, who recently left his post with the National Team, has demanded a 3-year contract from Fenerbahçe. However, it is stated that the yellow-navy executives are not keen on such a long-term contract.
For this reason, it is considered that one of the most important points in a potential agreement with Montella is the duration of the contract. It is reported that a common ground has not yet been reached between the Italian coach's demand and the approach of the Fenerbahçe management.
Another name on Fenerbahçe's agenda is Abdullah Avcı. However, it is claimed that there are differing opinions within the management regarding Avcı, and that those who are hesitant about the coach are in the majority.
On the other hand, it was noted that Emre Belözoğlu, Volkan Demirel, and Bülent Uygun are also seen as natural candidates in the process. It is stated that no contact has been made with Aykut Kocaman so far.
