Acun Ilıcalı hits back at Aziz Yıldırım after his stadium suite is revoked
Acun Ilıcalı, a former vice president of Fenerbahçe, has used harsh language against current president Aziz Yıldırım after his private suite at the club was revoked.
Acun Ilıcalı, a well-known figure associated with Fenerbahçe, made a striking statement after his private suites at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium were terminated. Ilıcalı argued that his suite was canceled without any justifiable reason and launched a harsh attack on President Aziz Yıldırım.
In his statement, Ilıcalı commented on Aziz Yıldırım's presidency, saying, "It is an interesting invention from someone who, as soon as his presidency ended, stopped paying for his suite and did not visit our stadium for seven years, only to start his current term with lies about unity and solidarity!"
Emphasizing that he had paid for his suite long in advance, Ilıcalı stated that the contract was terminated without any legal basis. Ilıcalı said, "My suite contract, for which I had paid the fee well in advance to support my club at the time, was unfairly terminated without any legal basis."
Implying that certain individuals in the Fenerbahçe community had been interested in suites in the past, Ilıcalı added, "I remember like it was yesterday someone chasing after a suite at a board meeting. It might suit this same person to engage in unlawful actions for the sake of personal ambition and settling scores the moment they gain power, but they must not forget that the seat they occupy is the Fenerbahçe Presidential chair."
Stressing that he would exercise his legal rights against the cancellation of his suite, Ilıcalı concluded his remarks by saying, "My first goal from now on will be to use my legal rights to teach a lesson in justice to this mindset filled with spite and hatred, and to ensure that our club is managed within the framework of the law."
